RMI’s Resonant Breakers can rubblize pcc pavement for an overly or break concrete into pieces and debond steel reinforcement for removal projects at 80% or better. In many cases wire mesh reinforcement is completely debonded. We break into multiple piece size ranging from 24” to 6” minus depending on contractor specs. Our breaking process dramatically reduces the total costs of a removal project and makes loading, hauling and crushing more efficient and easier. Please see the slides below for more details and give us a call to see how much we can save you while reducing job site complexity and improving safety.
Features of our Breaking Process
- Most Particle sizes are 12” or less at the base
- 80% or more of the steel is debonded
- Does not disturb underground utilities
- Does not damage the base
- Vibration Monitoring studies well below spec versus drop hammer (see attachment)
- Many times our product can be used as fill without crushing
- Reduces the amount of load outs and hauling costs by 30% to 40%
- Pass on Pass breaking is much less expensive per sq. yd. than a rubblizing project
- RMI can break pcc pavement for removal on Airports up to 24” depending on the underlying base
- RMI’s breaking process can do up to 8,000 sq yards a day per machine, depending on conditions
